What makes this tour so special, besides the local show being
a fundraiser
(there will be lots of prizes to bid on such as dinner for
4 at a Thai restaurant in Pembroke
and a light lunch will be served with much of the food being
supplied by the local farmers markets)
is that this tour has been worked out directly with the musicians,
no middle man taking a cut.
From working together in the past on a number of projects,
it is a tour based on trust.
An open book policy has been established showing all the expenses
and profits on the tour so
that any money made will be distributed fairly. Also, we just
purchased 2 professional video cameras
from Global TV and are filming the concerts and all footage
around it to put together a
concert video/documentary. We are also recording an audio
track with the hopes of releasing a
cd, again with all details being worked out fairly as we go.
No contracts, just trust. This is the way
we are trying to pave and hope it will spread more throughout
the business and artists will hopefully
come to us who would like to see more honesty and integrity
in the music business, something that has
not been known to be present. We are very encouraged that
musicians of such caliber have been
contacting us to work with us based on a willing to see things
change.
