"After
a fairly long break from recording [but not writing] and a
shorter break from club dates, I've recorded 2 new CD's in as
many years,
the newest, 'No Angel' just released this Fall
and
'Love That Shine' 2 years ago. Most of the
songs for 'No Angel'
were written during a 2 week period this Spring, during which
time
I pretty much locked myself away in a cabin in Wilno and wrote.
'A purge of sorts..' of some of my harder feelings around my
years in the business
and it's effect on both my personal and professional relationships
resulted in perhaps
my most introspective and honest record to date." |

"The
songs were then recorded 3 weeks later near Woodstock, NY
with some friends backing me, in a mindset of capturing the
simplicity of
those 2 weeks, musically. The songs were cut live off the floor
with
everyone playing together and although 3 takes of each song
were recorded,
the songs on the album are the first takes, including most of
the vocals.
Since it’s completion, I've signed new management in NY,
released the single Lay Me Down to over 120
radio stations in the US
(already receiving airplay on some) and am starting to showcase
US dates,
including opening for Shawn Colvin Nov. 1 in Woodstock, NY.
I'll be back home for a few days in early November
and will be playing an evening of new songs @
Frisco's in Eganville(ON), on
Nov. 6th, 2009
and would love to see old friends and new come out to the show,
which will be a fundraiser for Cancer Research."
